Christmastime is here

Christmas is 12 days away. I know this because Abby has two separate countdowns going. She is at the perfect age to be SO excited for Christmas. I love the twinkle in her eye because it's also my favorite time of the year.

We are trying to get ready for the holiday. I'm almost done shopping. Just a few more things to grab, luckily nothing at the mall. I tried that last week and my hips were aching for the rest of the day.

Madeline has been making lots of fun holiday decorations at school, today she brought home a "north pole". Abby was excited because the top had an "n" for north. She gets so proud of Madeline's work. :)

Baby Boy Brunaugh is about 6 weeks away. He's a kicking rolling machine right now, which the girls really like. Madeline keeps saying "baby brother" and Abby talks about it constantly. She says she won't change diapers though, because that's disgusting. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

Abby has been making costumes for every occasion lately. Here is the latest...a turkey costume for Thanksgiving. She's now wearing it riding her scooter around the house. Extremely cute!

Madeline's new dance routine

Madeline started dance class last month and is working on a routine. SO CUTE!!

Halloween

Another Halloween in the books. We had lots of friends over to join in the trick or treating. Madeline loves her penguin costume but would rather stay in the house where its warm. She went to about 6 houses before wanting to come home. Abby was a trooper, she counted this morning and has 36 pieces of candy. She put the ones she doesn't like in a ziploc and told me to write "Logan" on it. Apparently I'm sending them to him :) Such a thoughtful little princess.

Abby and her friends started preschool (kindergarten for Maisie) today. Here is the pic from this year and last. They are so big!!

The first day of 1st grade.

Madeline hopped on the bus this morning like an old pro. She's headed to the 1st grade. Full day school which I can hardly believe, the bus isn't going to drop her off until almost 4pm. Hopefully she can manage to stay happy for that long at school. She has the same class and the same teacher and most of the same kids from last year so she should be completely fine.

Missing tooth

Abby and I noticed this morning that her very loose tooth was missing. After a brief moment if her panicking about swallowing it she remembered that she ate corn on the cob last night. :)

RV trip

We took an RV trip to Moses Lake with 5 great families this weekend. We had a great time. The girls played in the pool and Abby couldn't get enough of the water slide. :)

Happy 4th

We had a very busy day of fun! Here is a pic of abby with her kitty (thanks grandma) waiting to hear her uncle marc and uncle chris play in their rock band. More cute pics to follow. School starts again tomorrow morning. Whoo hoo!!!

Back from Paradise

Jon and I got home from our trip to Cancun last night. I got on 4 planes and they all took off and landed. No problems! :) Xanax is a lovely thing.

The resort we stayed at was absolutely incredible. Alcon really knows how to treat their star employees. I've only seen places like it in the movies and in magazines. Pictures don't do it justice but I'll add a few anyway.

I'm very thankful for all the help that we got so we could take the trip. I didn't realize how much I needed a vacation until I stepped foot in the spa on Monday morning. Thanks Mom, Jim, Mary Ellen, Julie and Lindsey!! We really apprecitate being able to take a break and have wonderful people like you to watch over our girls.

Home Sweet Home

We made it home yesterday afternoon. Last part of the drive was pretty easy. Abby slept!

Next time we'll do better planning. Found out Monday that we missed uncle Marc's house by 6 minutes. Thanks to GPS on my phone that only gives directions and doesn't show the towns we are driving by. I also didn't see an exit or sign for his town. Bummer!!! We'll also plan on driving through Portland at a reasonable time so we can visit my brothers and Jon's fam in the Couv.
